Teens! What are you doing on July 31st - August 2nd 2009?
Archbishop Mancini challenged all the youth at the Steubenville Atlantic Launch Party .... He said he wanted to see 1000 young people just from Halifax this year!! Do you think that we can do it? Are you wondering what the Steubenville experience is all about? If you are going into grade 9 or older you qualify to participate. On the weekend of May 9th and 10th we will be having one of our Parish Youth give an educational short talk on their experience at last year's Steubenville Event. There will be a loose collection following to help with the cost of sending our students to this year's Steubenville Atlantic. If you are considering going, please see Maura in Religious Education or Annie in the office. Just think a weekend of friendship, fun, and faith!! If you haven't done it already, consider signing up for Steubenville Atlantic .... You will be glad that you did!

| Many thanks to Genney Fay and Hannah Fiander who gave a great talk on their expriences as Steubenville participants. Many thanks also to the generosity of our parishioners who donated $1007.00 towards the financial aid necessary to send our young people to this great gathering. We now have 5 young parishioners, 3 girls and 2 boys, who have committed to representing St. Agnes at Steubenville 2009. | Now with the financial support of our collection and the generosity of our Bingo Committee, we can provide financial support to even more students. Time is running out, so hurry and sign up by calling Maura Gair @ 454-8281 or Annie in the Parish Office to take part in an experience that will stay with you for years. Emily Theakston will be our group leader and is looking forward to travelling and enjoying the weekend with our young folk. |
